EPISODE 1

Ellie Angel-Mobbs is one of Australia’s top female radio presenters, and her trophy cabinet backs this up. With two decades of radio experience behind her, she has been a finalist for the Australian Commercial Radio Awards many times and was crowned Australia’s best entertainment personality in 2022 and 2023. Here she shares her journey with endometriosis, adenomyosis, infertility, body image and resilience. Ellie talks about the importance of family - and listening to your Mum - and how support from her husband and workplace SCA has helped her manage health challenges, pain and grief. Despite everything, she manages to remain positive about the future. She is one of Australia's leading advocates for endometriosis.

EPISODE 2

Kayla Itsines, co‐founder of Sweat, exudes an energy that is electrifying and inspiring. Her fitness empire started with her running training sessions in her parent's backyard (her dad even built a roof for her boot camp clients).

The Sweat app, which she co‐founded in 2015, has had more than 30 million downloads, while her personal Instagram following (at the time of writing) is approaching 16 million — four million more than the entire number of Aussies on the social media platform.

Yet behind the bubbly, motivated persona exists a young woman who's experienced debilitating pain and all of the typical endometriosis symptoms since she first started menstruating at the age of 12. She recalls many times when she was sent home from school and couldn't take part in her beloved sport, and a horrifying fall downstairs at school when pain suddenly made her ‘double over’, which was embarrassing for a girl who prides herself on being ‘a really coordinated person’.

Kayla is now ‘at pains’ to raise awareness

Sophie shares her personal challenges, living with endometriosis pain, bloating and heavy menstrual bleeding in her role as Ziggy, wearing beach wear in Summer Bay.

Sophie was diagnosed with endometriosis at age 21, after living with pain since her first period. A nurse by vocation, she says "When I was doing my nursing training, I don't remember having any mention of women+'s health at all, and that's sad."

Sophie is a strong advocate for women's health education and training for health care workers to identify, diagnose and treat endometriosis. She uses her profile in the media to promote awareness.
